Christopher David Shepard
Born August 18th, 1982 in Mesa, Arizona, was lost to his loving family, friends and the world on August 28th, 2020.
Chris leaves behind a legacy of his kindness, friendship, charity and love to his many family, friends, colleagues, and many times even to complete strangers. Words simply cannot describe the feeling of loss and sadness at his passing felt by so many.
He was a lover of music, with one of the best times in his life being when he was performing live in a rock and roll cover band. He loved football, and yes, he was an avid supporter of the Arizona Cardinals, golf and fine food. Nobody cooked a better NY strip than Chris.
He leaves behind his parents, who wish to express their never-ending love for their first- born son, his brother Jon whom he loved more than any other, his extended family members and many friends who share the pain in losing simply a really good guy. Since Chris’s passing there has been an outpouring of care and love offered to his family from so many friends. We now wish to express our never-ending gratitude to all who have a fond memory of Chris, have reached out to support us, and share your love and admiration for him. If you were blessed enough to know Chris, know that he truly loved and cared for you with all of his heart.
Chris truly cared about individual people and developed many wonderful relationships as a result. He had a simple founding principle, do the right thing for no other reason than it is the right thing. He loved to be spontaneous, and would often beam at having done something for someone for no other reason than it felt good to bring happiness and joy into that person’s day. The world will be a lesser place without his presence. We will continue to honor what a tremendous individual Chris was and we hope and pray we will meet him once again when we take the journey he has now taken before us, all too soon.
